Wait, so all this cool stuff is 3D printed?

Yes. 3D printing makes all these complex shapes and color patterns possible. Want to know more about the tech? See how it's made here.

Ok, but if it's 3D printed then can you really eat it?

Yes. Everything is made in our bakery in Los Angeles. It's delicious. It's designed in partnership between our chefs and 3D modelers, 3D printed in our bakery, and shipped to you to eat and enjoy.

So, like, these are 3D prints that you can eat?

Yup, you get it now.

This is cool, who invented it?

We did! The Sugar Lab was the original innovator in this space. We made precision, full-color, complex shapes possible for the first time back in 2012. To this day there is no other technology like it.

What is the recipe for your 3D food?

The three main ingredients that allow us to create gravity-defying shapes are water, sugar and vegetable starch (maltodextrin). We add water very precisely to the dry ingredients to create what's basically a super-fondant.

Ok but what are the exact ingredients?

The exact ingredients vary per product so they’re listed right in the product descriptions.

How are the flavored 3D foods made?

We use dehydrated food powders or natural or artificial flavors as listed in the ingredients in the product description.
